Sailing around the Cape Verde Archipelago is tough. The Atlantic doesn’t let you down. We had waited for the best weather window to sail back from Santiago Island to Sao Vicente Island. About 150 nautical miles passage. The forecast was 15 to 20 knots on the beam. Sounds all good in theory, but in reality it was hard Atlantic sailing due Northwest for 24 hours, day and night. It was just me Nat and Galopin. And thank you Galopin. If anyone watching thinks sailing around the Cape Verde Islands is bikini, cocktails and smooth sailing… watch this carefully and multiply by 100.

Some say it’s The Best Sailing Channel on YouTube!
