Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

Just outside of the port of Palmeira on the island of Sal is a zone of magnetic anomaly. But what is the effect of magnetic anomaly? That depends on who. In Natacha’s case it seems to make her happy and dance. On the locals, they are all happy and smiley. As for me I’m naturally attracted to this little fishing village. Which with discover and relish on a Sunday night.We meet Maria who invites us to here house in the city of Espargos. We have a look around the town in the middle of this desert island. We decide to sail around the island and anchor at Pedra Lume. Home of the old salt mines. A rusted commercial relic resembling a ghost town. It’s there that I commit a horrific act just to satisfy our gastronomical palate.
