Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

The apprentice sailor Fabrice, aka Fabio here on La Palma, proved he can sail. But to be a world wide traveller, one needs to adapt to local traditions. And here it’s dancing and consuming. So we blend in to a local festival called La Romeria where there is a lot of dancing. And we are also invited to a Colombian birthday party where we taste Sancocho and dance there too. And all ends too soon with a last outing on Galopin where we fly his stunning spinnaker.
