An older dude who feels 30 sails the world on a small yacht and tells his live large adventures. Follow him from the beginning when he looks for a sailboat and buys it. Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

In our continuing series with Ferdi on his journey to get his ocean sailing license on Galopin. He’s come with me to accumulate nautical miles and knowledge on the ocean. We do some safety training, like anchoring in a secluded golden beach and sail overnight to the island of Boa Vista. There we learn to beach the dinghy, drinking in the tough part of town and weather tropical storm Marizia. A very difficult challenge.
