On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

This Sahara dust storm is so big, it will cross the Atlantic and disrupt the formation of hurricanes. The islands of Cabo Verde get covered by Sahara dust pretty regularly. Here they call it Bruma Secca or Dry Fog. And when being at anchor here in Mindelo Bay you have to live through these storms. It’s not so pleasant and sometimes intense. You have to know how to live in the Sahara dust. But you can also have some fun discovering deserted beaches. Three of them in this episode. With some of the coolest and best looking friends. As well as a couple of white dudes.
