Can you trust your crew to helm your boat and take control? It depends on who. Some people take to the sea naturally, and it seems the case with our friend Marizia. We sail out for a couple of days to get out of the city and anchor. We’re accompanied by Peter, Lily and Fannie. We cruise the West and South coasts of Sao Vicente island in search of good spots to drop the hook. But there is a strong swell coming from the South. So we end up doing a lot of motoring and this is when I hand over the helm to Marizia. She knows how to helm my boat. It’s part of having confidence in your crew.
