On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

So far seven out of ten Cape Verdean islands I’ve sailed to and anchored, this may be the best spot to anchor. Santiago island is he largest of all the archipelago. There is much to see, and in this episode we see some more like the city of Assomada and then Cidada Velha, where I consider one of the best anchorages in Cape Verde.
