On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. I came to Switzerland with the bare minimum. I was coming to get hip replacement surgery and then would need to stay and recover. Part of my speedy recovery would be to walk. So I end up doing the Alps in boat shoes. That meant walking around the alps with the only shoes I brought.
