On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s post hip replacement surgery so I’m coming close to the end and it’s Christmas time. I’m staying at my other son’s apartment in Montreux. It’s in the city and I have to walk up and down three flights of steps, so that’s good for my rehabilitation. And as well I get to live in my old hometown and can get around with the Swiss public transportation system which is quite something.
