Beating Into A Tropical Storm | City Floods After 3 years of No Rain | Winded Voyage 4 | Episode 101

The forecast was pretty accurate. A tropical storm was on our way and I would be sailing right into it. I was beating into a tropical storm. We had left our last anchorage in Tarrafal a bit too late and found ourselves crossing the Sao Vicente canal as the storm was coming. I was a storm that hasn’t been seen here in Mindelo in about 10 years. Streets are completely flooded and people are dancing in the rain! Eventually it passes and I managed to collect over 500lt of rain water. I also found a temporary solution to my autopilot problem. Because soon we will be heading out on a big sailing adventure.
