An older dude who feels 30 sails the world on a small yacht and tells his live large adventures. Follow him from the beginning when he looks for a sailboat and buys it. Earns his Swiss offshore sailing license and refits his boat. Then sails alone from the south of France along the Spanish coast to Tangiers Morocco. On to the Canary Islands where he learned how to manage in extreme ocean conditions. Continues south to the Cabo Verde Islands, land of the most beautiful people ever. He learns to speak the local Creole language so to better understand the Cape Verdean culture. To enjoy life, feel young and love again. He recovers from hip replacement surgery and sails on to the great African continent where few sailors dare to go. His story is one of an old geezer living the life of a full time sailor with all it’s perils and pleasures. So hang on, eat, dance, laugh, love and discover the world with him and his boat Galopin. It’s their Winded Voyage. A real living adventure series.

It’s time for some real Cape Verde sailing. I just have a few projects to finish, and will sail into the night. At midnight we set sail for a 30 plus hour passage from the island of Sao Vicente to Maio island in Cape Verde Africa. Conditions are as expected. Strong but constant winds for the most part, but the swell and wind waves cross and bounce me and Galopin at a good pace. It’s back to to the ocean, sailing to a new island, Maio.Sailing Galopin in Cabo Verde Africa.
