SAILING Wildly Intrepid TRAILER

Welcome aboard SV Wildly Intrepid, our 43 feet C&C Landfall. We are Cory, Alex, Coral & Kai originally from Quebec, Canada. Since meeting over 15 years ago in Newfoundland, Canada, we have been consumed by an obsession with travel. Living life one semi-retirement at a time then working for a while to do it all over again as soon as possible. In 2019 after a few years of hard work and learning some basics about sailing and boat work, we untied the lines and set sail from Lake Erie, Canada on a Hunter 33. We cruised the Erie Canal down the Eastern Seaboard and over to the Bahamas. A blown engine eventually became a blessing as we learned to really sail in the Bahamas before returning to the US to rebuild our engine (in our galley). After another season in the Bahamas we finally were lucky enough to have our first child Coral. Now a crew of 3 but somehow always single handing our way through the Bahamas again. This time with a new appreciation for the simple things like watching Coral experience sand for the first time or meeting new life long friends. We started seeing some of the limitations of our small Hunter 33 and feeling a little cramped as a crew of 3 we started dreaming and looking for a new vessel that would fit our new needs. On the way back from the Bahamas just as we lost reception we found the vessel we were looking for. While transitioning between our old boat and new to us C&C Landfall 43 we were extra grateful to have upgraded as we had our son Kai. Now with 2 kids under 2 and a tight timeline to get down the Erie canal before it closes we were retracing our steps all over again. Failing rigging slowed us down as we tackled a whole re-rig by ourselves in Georgia before enjoying the Bahamas another time. This year after a few more months of boat work we untied the lines to sail further than ever. Through remote islands in the Bahamas our minds were blown away. Even Turks and Caicos Islands surprised us before settling in a new pace in Luperon in the Dominican Republic for hurricane season. Filled with amazing experiences and beautiful moments alongside downright stressful, terrifying, and frustrating moments. The uncertainty and adventure is what drives us and keeps us excited for what is coming around the next bend.

If you like what you see don't forget to give us the thumbs up!
