Prepping a SMALL SAILBOAT for Hurricane Season in the boat yard [Ep 151]

Getting a small sailboat ready for hurricane season in Florida requires a few things if you are leaving your boat behind. With our US visa expiring and most borders closed down we decided our only options was to leave our sailboat at Green Cove Springs in Northern Florida. It was affordable and inland on the St. John’s River. So it was all hands on deck taking down sails, solar panels and cleaning up. We were juggling hauling out with the challenges of having flight after flight cancelled due to Covid and the US/ Canadian borders being closed. And thank you once again to my sister Julie and her husband Sean for being the greatest hosts.

This was filmed August 2020.
