Sometimes it’s nice to go off the beaten path while sailing and this is exactly what we did in Andros Island. Fresh Creek doesn’t see many sailors and we had it to ourselves. The locals took us in and we really experienced a unique Bahamas. From a lesson in the back of someone’s truck on how to crack conch shells to hermit crab racing on an island to cliff jumping into Captain Bill’s Blue hole or being taught which plants to eat we were loving the island life. Andros Island is home to the third largest fringing barrier reef and also has the world’s greatest amount of Blue holes. A perfect spot on our sailing journey in the Bahamas.
