FAILING Engine's water pump & CRAZY Thunderstorms [E338]
This is one of the most stressful sail. Shortly after leaving from Eleuthera we notice that our Westerbeke’s water pump is leaking and the bearing might be gone. Should we carry on or turn around? It’s the best crossing day and we have to make our way back to the US before our cruising permit expires. To top all this, there are crazy thunderstorms everyday. It’s beautiful watching the lightning but having previously been struck by one we really don’t want a repeat. Filmed May 2024.
