Traveling to Cumberland Island by sailboat is the best way to explore this park at your own leisure. The twisted trees immediately transported me into a different universe where wild horses roam the trails, ruins tell you stories and drooping moss enchant you. We spent close to a week exploring Cumberland Island and Alex’s sisters even joined us for a day.
