It's Moving Day in the Trinidad Shipyard for our Sailing Home!
Hurricane season is the busiest time of year for shipyards across the Caribbean, and Trinidad is no different! At Peake Yacht Services the yard has been a hive of activity, as yacht owners return to their sailing homes and launch for another season of adventures out on the water. For the boats behind us, that time had arrived, meaning our Leopard 45 catamaran needed to be lifted and moved out the way.
Lifting a 45ft boat that weighs over 18 tons no easy feat, and with hundreds of thousands of dollars and our only home on the line, there's a whole lot of trust placed in the Trinidadian team who do this, day in, day out.
