If you've ever stepped foot in a boatyard, the first thing you'll notice is how industrial they are. Dusty. Noisy. For months I've been working on our boat - grinding, sanding and getting covered in more epoxy, gel coat and antifoul than I care to think about! So, to escape it all, I decided to head out to the jungle and do something a little different - barefoot hiking through the Trinidad jungle.
Doing this forced me to take my time, feel the trail, and get closer to nature - a rejuvenating change from boat work. Being out and exploring the world like this is one of the reasons I chose to live on a boat in the first place, and I can't wait for the next step in our journey!
This video is a little different, thanks to our new crew member Lukasz. A multi-talented individual, he's a chemist, inventor, entrepreneur, expert scuba diver, and has a passion for film and TV. Travel Sketch was always about sharing our adventure and experiences, and now you get to see it through his creative lens too.
All of the footage used is ours, captured right here in Trinidad.
