Rounding Cape Hatteras requires careful planning and the right weather conditions, but even then we were in for a few surprise visitors as we rounded the great cape on our migration south for the winter. We lost the wind for a time, but enjoyed some epic sailing on our way to Wrightsville Beach to shelter from a storm pushing 50mph winds and 20 foot seas. Now, we wait patiently for our new mainsail from Ullman Sails.
