Episode 28
Atlantic Crossing Complete! We in da Caribbean, Mon
Firstly…. Huge apologies for the delay! We will try our very best to get back on track with regular uploads from now on.
This episode sees us finally tie up in Rodney Bay, St Lucia with the rest of the ARC sailors and reuniting with some of the friends we made 2,800 miles away in Gran Canaria.
With the ARC entry fees each boat receives 2 complimentary nights berthed in the marina so we enjoyed partying with the guys before moving into the bay on anchor where we are happiest. We spent our first week in the Caribbean partying with those already arrived and welcoming the 100 or so boats still to make land. We fixed a few minor Susan Ann issues like a bent goose neck pin but on the whole I think she held up very well during the crossing with no major issues at all.
The final ARC awards ceremony was delayed due to the slow crossing this year and we’re so glad that we stuck around for the party because we got quite a surprise!
