The hole for the rods to the vertical hatch covers is now done.
Here is a test with a wooden rod.
I might use metal pipes, 8 mm diameter. I have copper. I might even get stainless steel.
Piece by piece the accommodation is getting in place. This is a job that is going to take a long time so have paitience.
