HI friends.
Today I have done different things.
During my evening walk I realised that to get most force from the reefing line to the sail the lines must be parralell. Easy to understand if you are familiar with vectors. Vectors is a concept useful to sailors.
By mowing the parts closer together I achived the desired result. At the same time it permitted me to make the boom a tiny bit shorter.
Also I put the string on to the rope hinge. Very easy, quickly done.
Also to screw down the seat that is the lid for the storage below the seat I have made two M8 bronze nuts. Even one M6 is strong enough but just to make shore. Stainless screw is not good in a stainless nut as it can seize up. That would be bad at sea. Bronze do not do that.
To make the screw find the thread more easy the nut is countersunk then there is a 10 mm lenght of 8 mm hole to straighten the screw. Finally there is an 6 mm hole to fasten it to the side.
