The holder of the bearing had been welded to plates to hold it to the boat
The weld had made the hole smaller.
I had no ream and with a diameter of 29 mm they are expesive
Instead I winded abrasive paper on a stick put it on the late and let the late do most of the work, still it took a long time.
Its not proper to do grinding on a lathe so excuse me but the boat is more important.
I did vacuum cleaning very thourolly to remove grit.
