Close to the bow centerbord is a deck hatch. So they try to interfere with each other.
In calm weather no worry, but when the seas are breaking the deck hatches have to be tightend down well.
The Exlex I sailed 2020 and 2021 had hatches I had done a bad job on. Each corner had a screw down fitting that did not work very well and was not very reliable.
Next boat I said I will do it better. This night I found the solution. In one of the previus comments it was suggested that I put a bar across and screw down the hatch to the bar.
A good idea becouse it was only one operation, but it would take to much place.
Thinking more about the central strongpoint I got the idea of using a ratchet strap to the bottom of the boat.
This morning I tested it.
It was a succes.
Bonus: Last night the internet was down so no video I could make but Petter lives next door. I went there and he fixed it despite that Apple tried to sabotage me using Youtube.
Also he had a stravberry field and let me pick the well tasting berries.
