18 June 2024 Bow bulkhead and fillet test

Hello friends, Peter is back and he’s now working at L shopping in another town but don’t worry because he is here today. We are going to take advantage of his presence as we conduct a test on these fets.

Bow Bulkhead Test

First things first, we need to remove two screws and we will have it done in no time. After taking out the screws, we use a shoe to make sure everything stays in place during the test. This setup is temporary so don’t worry if it doesn’t look perfect.

Testing the Epoxy Bond

Sven believes that this test will provide a good idea about how strong and durable his work is. After conducting the test, he says ‘I think this is going to be okay, it’s good with leverage on this one.’

Unsatisfactory Findings

Upon closer inspection, Sven notices that there is a slight difference in the bend of the bow bulkhead on both sides. It’s more bent on one side than the other so he decides to let it be asymmetrical for now.

Fet Strength

The first bulkhead is in place and fastened from two sides with fets on either end. The durability of the epoxy bond has been tested and proven strong enough to hold up under pressure.

Shaping Up

Now that the bulkhead is in place, it’s time for Sven to focus on getting the shape up. He’ll let us know how he plans to achieve this in the best possible way.

Next Steps

The test may be done but there is still work left to be completed. We are excited to see what recommendations Sven comes up with for shaping up the area.
