Lightning, Wind, Boars and Pooh. (Just a sprinkling of wind).

Is this some of the best footage we have made? As always we tell it how it is and in Fethiye and Marmaris we were literally bobbing around in raw sewage just yards from the swimming beaches. We are paying 400TL to be pumped out and yet we have never in 4 years seen a commercial vessel get pumped out. But we have seen a lot empty their tanks very close to us in secluded bays. Or just outside them.... Tersan island becomes an anchorage that untenable. We and two other boat have to do a quick exit to better holding. Then there is the best lightning show ever and and wild boar wandering along the beach... What a cracking episode if we say so ourselves! Let us know what you think in the comments. Simon Kirby, great to finally meet you and put a face to one of our amazing Patreon's. Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid xx

Welcome to our channel.
We are now in season 7
In 2018 we left the UK to sail around the world slowly. After Brexit, a "Pandemic" and major heart surgery we are still sailing, documenting our travels and showing you what we have learned so far.
We are hoping to complete our journey, and travel right around the world even if we have had a few setbacks along the way. We will continue at our own pace and that may be fast or slow. We want to be sure not to miss anything and have stories to tell our grandchildren when we are old and grey.
Sail Safe Guys, Ant & Cid.

We do have a second channel YOUR DRONE TV It is a mix of music from classical to blues, from Opera to Punk all with stunning drone footage.

Sailing Adventure from Tain Island to Marmaris, Turkey

In this week’s episode, the crew leaves Fetier, a place they describe as being filled with human sewage, and sets off across to Tain Island where the wind unexpectedly picks up suddenly. After spotting wild boar on the beach, they manage to get their drone up to have a closer look at what the animals are feasting on, providing some exciting moments in this adventure.

Wildlife Encounters and Anchoring Challenges

With more excitement to come, they then head down towards Marmaris, which is also famous for its Thursdays Market day where the UK sales have their stalls above the market. Although the market was great for fruits and vegetables like brown mushrooms, cherries, and nectarines, they found the anchorage quite lively with banana boats and Jet Skis.

Calm Waters and Amazing Sunsets

In search of a quieter place to stay, they moved on to another Anchorage which turned out to be deep at over 15 meters but with exceptionally good holding. Here, they enjoyed peaceful moments before the rain arrived, along with an incredible rainbow and even some lightning. They managed to capture amazing photos and videos of this spectacular scene.

The Journey Continues

Concluding the episode, they play a touching song called “Let The Sunshine In”, encapsulating their positive attitude as they embrace new experiences in their journey across Tain Island to Marmaris.
