Returning to Lemmer: Where My Sailing Dream Began + New Sprayhood for World Voyage - Ep. 68 [EN]
I’m sailing from Almere toward Lemmer in The Netherlands – the town where my love for sailing started when I was just ten years old.
Now I’m back with my 27ft Grinde Loveworkx, ready for the next big chapter: my solo circumnavigation. I moor at Zeilmakerij De Vries Maritiem, the same place where I once worked at the reception desk.
Today they’re making a brand new sprayhood, a rain-catching cover for the tropics, a dinghy cover, and even a cockpit hammock for better watch-keeping.

It feels incredibly special to return to the place where it all began while preparing my boat for the big oceans ahead. Full circle moments like this make the journey even more meaningful. ❤️⛵
