📍 Sea of Cortez, Mexico
Bahía de los Ángeles → Ensenada Quemado → Isla La Ventana
We wrapped up our time in Bahía de los Ángeles thinking we were ready to move on… but not before one last surprise.
After a stingray encounter, we set off and spent hours trying to make our way through the channel against the current before eventually calling it and diverting to Ensenada Quemado. It turned out to be a quiet stop… until we were swarmed by bees made a very early exit the next morning.
We tried another anchorage, but between the swell and more bees, it didn’t take long before we changed plans again and headed downwind toward Isla La Ventana.
Somewhere along the way, we finally hooked our first dorado… and lost it just as quickly.
We made it to Isla La Ventana, dropped anchor, mixed up some margaritas, and hoped for a quieter evening.
Just another day out here.
