Welcome to this weeks video! There’s a lot happening this week…. We leave Bocas del Toro and start heading towards Linton Bay with a small pit stop at Zapatillas Island.
What starts off as a beautiful sail soon turns vicious when in the middle of the night we get hit with a super powerful squall. As the wind keeps increasing, our sailboat struggles and so do we. We see the wind reach 50 knots and we do our best to hold on and keep reefing. Everything happens so fast!
We definitely weren’t expecting such a poor crossing and to make matters worse we realize that both of our sails are shredded. With torn and broken sails we limp our way to safety….Linton bay.
Mother Nature wins yet again! Now it’s time to take a look at the damage and start on repairs!
