Saving money & staying warm - Servicing our Eberspacher Airtronic D4 diesel heater - Ep. 111
In this video, we show you how simple it is to service our Eberspacher D4 Airtronic heater.
Eberspachers are great until they stop working. Most of the time the issue is soot, particulates and the fuel/air mix being wrong. This is easily resolved by simply changing one or two bits and giving the unit a really good clean.
A big thanks to Mark Hind who got us started on this.
IF YOUR HEATER IS NOT A D2 OR D4 then look at this website for guidance before taking anything to bits. Older models are harder to service than the D4 shown. Also some Eberspachers exist that were made specifically for vans and these are sold on ebay. People report problems with these being harder to maintain.

The glow plug extractor tool can be found on ebay for £5 or so, or you can use a long socket for a 12mm or 13mm hex nut and grind out one side.
