Flying Across the Caribbean for Yabá’s Biggest Upgrade Yet — Sailing Yabá

Episode #326 | Flying to Barbados

To get Yabá ready for the next leg of our journey up the coast, it’s time for a massive upgrade: a brand-new sail wardrobe. But getting four heavy sails back to the boat means leaving Rio behind, making a pitstop in Arraial do Cabo to leave the boat in good hands, and taking a quick trip halfway across the Caribbean.

From exploring the history of Lapa and stumbling into Crop Over in Barbados, to catching up with Sascha and Raf from @SpearItAnimal in Grenada—it turned out to be quite the detour.

In this episode:

Leaving Rio & stopping in Arraial do Cabo

Passing through the iconic Arcos da Lapa & learning about Zé Pelintra

Heading to Barbados right in time for Crop Over

Wrangling, packing, and compressing 4 new sails

Island hopping to Grenada to visit Spear It Animal
