In this episode we find everything is breaking. The cone clutch on our starboard engine is slipping. Our port side engine has an oil leak. Our generator exhaust elbow has a hole and the house batteries completely die!
If you have Yanmar SD50 engines you will learn plenty from this episode!
So as we start looking for a weather window to sail North out of Panama before hurricane season we have a LOT of work to do to get Happy Days in good working order.
We get some help from a fellow liveaboard, Rick, because we have a bit of knowledge about our engines but feel we could use some guidance and wisdom from someone who has done work like this before.
I know there’s not a lot of ‘fun’ in this episode but sometimes boat life is full of sweat, elbow grease and plenty of grit to keep the adventure alive.
Enjoy 😁
