In this episode we get pretty cold! We realise none of the kids warm clothes or shoes fit anymore and have to make a dash to Goodwill to keep them warm.
We pick a great weather window to round Cape Hatteras but the evenings are still moody so we stop in at the Chesapeake and sit out another storm.
We also visit Fort Monroe and the Virginia Air and Space Museum while we wait for weather and when we push on we find ourselves in a thick blanket of fog! We can’t see a thing!
We decide to pull in at Atlantic City just for the night with the hope that the fog will clear and another night of rain will pass. As we leave the Golden Nugget we can see the high rises that were hidden the previous day. Now onwards to New York!
