Our time in the Maldives is coming to an end, and before heading even further into the Indian Ocean, we make one final stop at the southernmost atoll — Addu.
In this episode, we explore a part of the Maldives that feels completely different to anywhere else we’ve been. From empty surf breaks and motorbike rides, to last-minute repairs, and serious provisioning, it’s all about getting ready for what comes next.
With Chagos on the horizon, we load up like we did for our Pacific crossing, knowing it could be weeks before we see proper shops again. After organising permits, planning our timing, and preparing the boat, it’s finally time to leave the Maldives behind and sail toward one of the most remote places on Earth.
