Rigging Problems In The Bahamas. E43
February 13, 2022 by Sailing Wind Therapy | Language: EN Play Time: 00:25:06 | SAILING YOUTUBERS

We made it back to The Bahamas onboard our Leopard 45 sailing catamaran! The weather wasn’t the greatest. We had squalls, wind, waves, rain, more waves, more wind, and even a Water Spout… But we finally got there.
In Bimini, we adjusted our rigging. Why? Well, we were hearing a loud and unusual creaking sound coming from the port starboard bulkhead while sailing on a port tack. We had the rigging tuned in Ft. Lauderdale, but it created difficulties in opening and closing doors in the forward cabins and hanging lockers. After discussions with the rigger, we asked Dax from Aurora to help us loosen each turnbuckle. We’ve never done that before. Neither has he, but he has an incredible mechanical aptitude.
Then, we anchored too close to the channel off Cat Cay, and got up close and personal with some stingrays at Prime Cay. And the sunsets are amazing, as always.
And now for the music. Damon Fowler has been friends for a hundred years with Eddy Wright, another blues musician. They’ve been writing songs and performing together since they met. Many years ago they recorded two CDs, and we were lucky enough to get our hands on them. And the music in this video showcases some of our favorite songs from those CDs. We hope you enjoy them.
