How to Be a Good Boat Guest. E42

We’ve had lots of boat guests over the last 8 years on board our first boat, a Leopard 48 named Ru-ach and of course our new boat, Wind Therapy, a Leopard 45 sailing catamaran. We love having guests and sharing this cruising experience with them. Most of our guests have come during our chartering years. We all went together and chartered a boat, shared the expenses, the cleaning, the cooking, and sometimes the sailing.
Over the last 15 months, our guest have been on Wind Therapy. It’s very different having guests on a boat that you all chartered together and having guests in your floating home.
There are rules and guidelines that need to be followed so everyone is safe, has a good time, and we all remain great friends at the end of their trip.
In this episode, we point out some of the most important rules for being a guest on our boat. Don’t worry. If you don’t obey them to a T, we won’t make you walk the plank. But we can’t speak for other pirates. If you find you’ve been invited to be a guest on someone else’s boat, ask for their rules. We’re sure they have them.
So, be a good boat guest, and ensure you get that 2nd invitation aboard someone’s boat.
