We're BACK ON DELOS! And after leaving her baking in the tropics for 9 long months, we had no idea what kind of shape we would find her in...And it should come as no surprise that we had our work cut out for us with quite the to-do list to get her back in ship shape. Our batteries were dead, we needed to replace the transmission, bonding strap, exhaust hose, bilge pump manifold, service the prop, bearings, bow thruster, and of course repairing some big blisters, sanding, and repainting the bottom...just to name a few. We've certainly been no strangers to boat projects over the last year while building Delos 2.0, where we've become accustomed to working in spacious, fully equipped shop with a solid team by our side. So jumping back into the world of a dusty boatyard, improvising tools, and sweating buckets to make things work… well, it was a very real reminder of just how different this kind of boat work really is. But hey, it wouldn’t be Delos without a little chaos and a lot of elbow grease. Let’s get this girl back in the water!
