Applied West Systems Epoxy- Barrier Coat! Brian spent well over a month sanding the boat down to the fairing getting the boat ready for new bottom paint. We applied 5 coats of west systems epoxy for the barrier coat, applied one coat of black hard bottom paint and 2 coats of red ablative bottom paint. Brian began working inside to take off the cutless bearing in order to remove the shaft. Before he could remove the shaft, he had to remove the strut. It came off fairly easily. He removed the cutless bearing and the shaft came right out!! Now that the strut and shaft have been removed the fiberglass work can begin.
