Split Croatia? Hidden Gems Most Tourists Miss
We sailed our 38ft Catamaran Sea Moon to Split, Croatia, and were surprised. Everyone visits Split's Old Town... but some of its best experiences are hiding in plain sight.
In this episode, we take you beyond the usual tourist attractions to discover three hidden gems that completely changed the way we experienced this incredible Croatian city.
We begin with the Marjan Observation Tower, where a free climb rewards us with breathtaking panoramic views over Split and the Adriatic Sea. Then, before stepping inside the ancient city, we experience Diocletian's Dream—an immersive virtual reality journey that transports us back to 305 AD, bringing Diocletian's Palace to life like never before.
Armed with a new appreciation of the palace, we explore its Roman streets, discover the incredible 3,500-year-old Egyptian Sphinx that many visitors walk straight past, and finish the day wandering the narrow laneways where everyday life continues inside a city that's more than 1,700 years old.
Sometimes the best adventures aren't about rushing from one attraction to the next... they're about slowing down and discovering the stories hidden around every corner.
