We’ve hauled Sea Moon out of the water for the winter at Cleopatra Marina near Preveza, Greece, and with hundreds of boats surrounding us, Scott couldn’t resist having a look around!
Cleopatra Marina has the capacity to accommodate up to 1,200 boats on the hardstand, making it a fascinating place to explore different yacht designs, shapes and sizes.
In this episode, Scott takes you on an informal boatyard boat show, wandering along our row and sharing his observations on the different boats, their designs and some of the features that catch his eye.
From monohulls to catamarans, there’s plenty to look at, and being out of the water gives us a completely different perspective on how these boats are built.
Having sailed Sea Moon, our Seawind 1160 Lite catamaran, more than 14,000 nautical miles from Australia to the Mediterranean, Scott brings his own practical cruising experience to the conversation.
We’ve also included some drone footage to give you a bird’s-eye view of this impressive boatyard.
This isn’t a formal boat review, just a cruising sailor having a good look around and sharing his thoughts!
