We tried to leave this island in the South Pacific ocean but our engine starter battery was completely dead so we were stuck. We ordered a new one from Tahiti but had to wait a week for the supply ship to arrive before we could install and test it. Now that things are moving again we lift anchor and head straight out of the pass in super calm conditions. A massive pod of wild dolphins wave us off and we set sail into the night.

We are still struggling with some diesel bug issues but we're determined not to let that stop us travelling. The winds pick up in the morning and we get our sails up but things soon escalate into a freak storm and we start seeing failures on deck as our hardware breaks in 45 knot winds. We're left battling huge seas and we're in for an uncomfortable ride south to our next destination.
