🌊 We Had This World-Class Dive Site ALL TO OURSELVES! 🦈 | Sailing French Polynesia
After nearly 2 years of exploring the remote atolls of French Polynesia, we never expected to have one of the most famous dive sites in the South Pacific completely to ourselves! 🤯 No dive boats, no crowds—just us, our dinghy, and a breathtaking underwater world teeming with sharks, coral reefs, and marine life.
🦈 Diving Alone at South Fakarava Pass
Fakarava’s South Pass is renowned for its shark wall, where hundreds of sharks gather in crystal-clear waters. Typically, this site is busy with divers, but on this rare occasion, we had it all to ourselves. With zero surface support, we had to get creative—setting up our own drift dive without a pickup boat. The result? One of the most thrilling dives of our lives!
⚡ In This Episode:
✅ Drift diving with a wall of sharks 🦈
✅ Meeting Cookie, the curious shark and his friends 🦈👀
✅ Exploring hidden underwater caves and reefs 🏝️
✅ Dodging storms and navigating tricky atoll anchorages ⛵💨
✅ Running on fumes to reach the only fuel station for miles ⛽🚤

📖 Our Story 📖
We're Iain and Brioni [The Reds] a couple of redheaded Scots who sold everything we own and moved halfway round the world to buy a boat that we could call home. We have a habit of finding ourselves in the most unusual circumstances, but that’s what makes life interesting! We live in search of the most remote places to live and sail so hit subscribe and join us on this adventure!
