Thanks to everyone who has supported our refit so far! A few more projects to tackle: www.red-seas.com/refit if you want to see what we're planning and find out how you can help.
We started this catamaran refit by tearing down the ceiling panels in our saloon to discover that the balsa core had completely rotted away, leaving a gap between the upper and lower fibreglass panels making up the deck. In last week's episode I cleared out all of the rotten wooden core and prepared the surface to rebuild. I got a little carried away and just had to cross my fingers that I could actually complete this repair rather than just making a mess and leaving it at that.
This is usually Brioni's area of expertise but with her still in recovery at the moment, the whole project is left for me to have a go and try and figure out. Let's see if I can pull this one off! Wish we luck!
