This boat project is the main reason we hauled out and started this huge refit in the first place. Our sailboat is more than 20 years old and the thru hulls were all starting to corrode and look well past their best, and when something as crucial as the only thing stopping you from sinking is looking past its best...it's time to get to work!
We are removing 17 bronze thru hulls from our boat and replacing them with newer, plastic ones from TruDesign. We'll add collars for extra strength where possible and we can't wait to have a more reliable solution in the boat.
Things get tricky with a few of our thru hulls at the end but that just gives us an excuse to make another change on Indioko. Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoy this video!
