🦜 Dear diary…
This time my humans decided to tackle my bathroom… thinking it would be a nice, quick little winter project.
HAHA. They clearly still hadn't learnt their lesson. 😂
Out came the old toilet, sink and cupboards, revealing 74 empty 2-litre bottles hidden inside a mysterious hole. Why?! We’re hoping YouTube can help us find the previous owner who built it and finally solve the mystery!
Graham then tackled plumbing, drainage, rust, floors, walls and more, while Rachel worked on my jungle-themed bathroom panels.
And because apparently renovating me wasn't entertaining enough, I also had a rather unusual photoshoot with a skeleton. 💀
Meanwhile, Graham's transformation into a professional boatyard worker continues…
⚓ Parrot – 37ft Steel Reinke Super 10
🦜 Restoration diary told entirely from my point of view.
And don't forget, we're still trying to find my original owners and uncover my history before I ended up in Preston.
If you recognise me, please get in touch and share my story!

Sailing Project Parrot
Welcome aboard Parrot (a 1984 Reinke Super 10), the steel boat with sass, rust, and a whole lot of mystery ⛵⚓🦜 We're Graham and Rachel—two hopeless dreamers with zero boat restoration experience and questionable impulse control. So naturally, we bought a 37ft steel sailboat that hadn’t moved in years, had a few bees as roommates, and came with absolutely no instructions. This channel is part restoration diary, part mystery hunt. Our aim? To breathe life back into Parrot and uncover her past—because no one knows who built her, where she’s been, or why she was named after a tropical bird. ⛵ Expect chaos, comedy, steel dust, and surprise emotional moments as Parrot shares her story (with heavy sarcasm) and we try to become full-time liveaboard sailors—without setting her on fire. Subscribe, share, and help us track down her original owners. She deserves it. We… might too.
