Finally finding a home in the Pacific that will have us for an extended period of time Fiji is our dream come true, with great internet, food, islands and most importantly the friendliest people you will meet we are so very happy to have made it to this Pacific paradise. One thing that has been polluting ‘Merewether’ for some time now is the galvanised wind generator pole, in this episode we finally make the decision to discard the old very worn ‘breezy’ as we had named him. After getting our broken starter motor fixed we start to make our way through Fiji stopping off one of the remotest anchorages we’ve been to in some time. Heading into hurricane/cyclone season we also need to start moving quickly to find potential shelter if one of these nasty storms comes through.
