We Found ANOTHER Problem With Our Boat… Then the Sheep Invaded! 🐑⛵
Boat jobs, boat problems… and apparently sheep-proofing a cottage!
This week on Sailing Melody, we're back working on Ocean Melody and tackling one of those jobs that starts off simple and quickly turns into something much bigger.
I start by cleaning out the engine bilge and trying to track down an annoying oil leak. But while investigating, we discover something we definitely weren't expecting — the alternator has been rubbing against and wearing through one of the bilge pump pipes.
That means the bilge pumps have to come out, and now we're looking at replacing the damaged pipework. If you're experienced with marine bilge systems, let us know in the comments what type of pipe you'd use as a replacement!
We also get the starter battery moved as we continue working our way through the never-ending list of jobs aboard Ocean Melody.
Then it's time to head up to the off-grid cottage project.
The cottage has been open to the elements for years and, unfortunately, the local sheep have discovered that it's basically a luxury sheep hotel! 🐑😂
So today's job is a simple one — cutting down a wooden door to stop the sheep getting back inside.
Two projects, two very different sets of problems… and plenty still to do!
