Five years ago we bought this abandoned steel yacht for just £2,000.
What followed was half a decade of welding, grinding, painting, engineering, rebuilding and sheer determination to save a boat that most people had written off.
Today marks the moment it all became worthwhile.
In this video, Steel Melody finally returns to the water. After years sitting ashore and thousands of hours of work, we watch her launch and sail again for the first time as a fully restored yacht.
