We’re leaving Kinsale, Ireland to sail West Cork’s beautiful coastline with our buddy boat on a Dufour 485. The race is on as we explore Schull Harbour, Baltimore, and Castletownbere. We sail past the sailing history as we pass the Fastnet Lighthouse and Fastnet Rock where sailings biggest tragedy took place in 1979. The Fastnet yacht race resulted in abandoned boats, sunken boats and countless casualties resulting in a massive rescue operation, Then, we provision for our offshore passage crossing the Celtic Sea and notorious Bay of Biscay sailing our floating home to Spain.
