In this episode of **Sailing into Freedom**, Gala continues her education at **Plucky’s Finishing School** with a proper introduction to lionfish handling, cleaning, gutting, cooking, and the realities of dealing with venomous tropical species. We also talk about some of Australia’s nastier creatures — from stonefish and Irukandji jellyfish to blue-ringed octopus and venomous snakes — before getting back to the serious business of catching dinner.
The crew prepares and taste-tests several species including **lionfish, dog snapper, mackerel, and schoolmaster**, with plenty of debate over which one wins on flavor. Gala also lands her first fish, learns to clean it herself, and discovers that life aboard involves a lot more than just sailing.
